2Face, also known as 2Baba, has released a video confirming that his earlier announcement of separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, was indeed genuine and not a result of his Instagram account being hacked.
The drama began on Sunday when a statement was posted on 2Face’s Instagram account, revealing that he and Annie had been separated for a while and had filed for divorce.
The statement read, in part: “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce… I would grant a press release soon to say my story.”
However, mere minutes later, the statement was deleted, and a new post surfaced, claiming that 2Face’s account had been hacked.
The post read: “My Instagram account has been hacked; efforts are being carried out to take back control #onelove!
But in a recent video, 2Face has set the record straight, confirming that he was indeed the one who made the initial announcement. In his characteristic calm tone, he stated: “No body hacked my account, na me talk wetin I won talk” (“Nobody hacked my account, I said what I said”).
The video has sparked a flurry of reactions, with many fans expressing shock, disappointment, and even outrage. Some have come to Annie’s defense, praising her for standing by 2Face despite his past infidelities and expressing sympathy for her current situation.
Others, however, have speculated that 2Face’s latest move might be a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming music project.
As the drama continues to unfold, fans and followers of the couple remain glued to their social media feeds, eager to see what’s next.
