It has been reported by The Defence Headquarters that 36 of their men have been murdered in Niger.
In the Zungeru region of the state, the Nigerian Army troops are said to have been killed after being ambushed by rebels.
A Helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force which was on a mission to evacuate casualties on Monday in the Shiroro Local Government Area of the state had crashed also.
On Thursday, during the biweekly briefing of the Defence Media Operation, Buba Edward, The Director of Defence Media Operations gave the analysis of the report of the sad occurrence on the 14th of August 2023.
The Army associates stated that the cause of the Helicopter crash is still sketchy as investigations are still ongoing.
He advised citizens to be vigilant and watch out for any propaganda by terrorists and remain patriotic.
