Super Eagles goalkeeper Uzoho deactivates social media account

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho who came under intense criticism following his poor displays for the Super Eagles match has deactivated his social media account.

The Omonia Nicosia goalie was blamed by most soccer-loving Nigerians for Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 25-year-old spilled a shot by Thomas Partey in Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with perennial rivals, Ghana’s Black Stars.

Uzoho also conceded cheap goals in friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

He came under fire again after letting in another cheap goal in Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe on Sunday.

Amidst the heavy criticism that trailed his performance, his account on X, @Uzohof, has been taken down.

Uzoho has been capped 32 times by Nigeria
