The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to tackling insecurity across the country with renewed vigour in the various counter-insurgency operations.
Vice President, Kashim Shettima made this commitment during the induction of T129 Atak combat helicopter and Beechcraft king Air 360ER, at the Air Base in Makurdi, the Benue State capital along with a cargo plane to support air power operations in the fight against insurgency.
Two newly acquired combat helicopters, the T129 Atak combat helicopter and Beechcraft king Air 360ER, were unveiled at the Air force Base Makurdi, Benue State for induction into the Nigerian Air force counter-insurgency operations.
The Vice President said the induction is one of the many unwavering resolve by the Federal government to combat insecurity plaguing the country.
He proceeded to induct the fighter jets amidst cheers as the combat T129 Atak Helicopter in a sequence of a mock operation, displays its capabilities and air agility.
The governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia commended the Federal Government and expresses the hope for increased impetus against violent crimes and insurgency.
The Speaker of the House of Representative, Tajudeen Abbas, led members of the national assembly to the historic induction ceremony to show solidarity.
