Chippa United goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, kept a clean sheet as they claimed a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Richards Bay in the South African Premier League on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles first-choice stopper was making his second appearance since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Nwabali remained composed between the sticks despite facing minimal threats from the visitors.
Chippa took an early lead in the 7th minute through Justice Chabalala.
Craig Martin doubled the lead just five minutes later, before Abdi Banda received a red card in the 54th minute.
The hosts capitalized on this, adding a third goal through Kayden Francis in the 74th minute.
Nwabali’s clean sheet brings his total to eight in 17 PSL appearances this season. He is currently two clean sheets behind Mamelodi Sundowns’ goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, who leads the league with 10 clean sheets in just 13 games.
