Rivers Police nab tenant for defiling landlord’s teenage daughter

A man simply identified as Jeffrey said to be in his 30s has been arrested by operatives of Amadi Police Division, Port Harcourt for allegedly defiling his landlady’s 13-year-old daughter.

The incident happened in an Estate close to a Federal Government college in Abuloma, in Port Harcourt local Government Area of Rivers State.

Police sources told media that the suspect who owns a tailoring shop at the Estate lured the landlady’s daughters to his shop one evening on pretense of showing her a cloth when he locked the shop, overpowered and allegedly defiled the teenage girl.

The suspect was however arrested last week Friday, 19th April, 2024 when the teenage girl informed her mother.

It was also reliably gathered that medical examination conducted on the minor indicated she was defiled.

When contacted,the Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the arrest of the suspect.

She added that the case has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department(SCIID, Port Harcourt for discreet investigation.
