Nollywood actor and businessman Jim Iyke has stirred the internet as he reveals why he finds it difficult to make friends.
In an interview with Teju Babyface, he disclosed that he can’t be friends with everyone because he wants a close circle he wouldn’t call in ten months. He noted how he is a transaction being who changes every day and, as such, can’t keep friends with anyone who is always hung up on his last act.
He, however, made it known that he is the type who can move mountains for his friend when they need him, but he might not be available to attend their functions like birthdays, wedding anniversaries, etc.
“I need somebody that won’t be hung up on my last act. I’m too transitional for it. My propensity for growth is at an alacrity that you cannot keep up with. Who I was yesterday is different from who I am today. So it is not everybody that can keep up with that. I need somebody that I won’t call for 10 weeks and is not in his feelings. There was a time I didn’t call him for 4 weeks; he didn’t call me too. We don’t have to, but when you call, it’s value”.
His statement didn’t sit right with most netizens as they stated that the actor was trying to make excuses for his bad behaviour.
One Mr Uzz wrote, “Using English to cover bad character here and there. You also need to be someone who is accountable for their actions (Bad or good) and act accordingly, Sir.

He blamed his crashed marriage on the death of his mother, which affected him emotionally and led to a change of behaviour and he lost his humour, and he became a woeful husband to his wife.
The actor has been married twice and has three kids.
