Popular Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has set the record straight regarding rumours that she fled the United States due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
In a public statement shared on her social media platform, the actress confirmed that she and her family are safe and currently residing in Nigeria.
Addressing her followers, Omotola expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming concern and support she has received in recent days.
“Your thoughtfulness means the world to me,” she said, acknowledging the love and prayers sent her way.
However, the star clarified misinformation circulating in the media, stating, “I’ve seen reports suggesting I had to leave the United States because of the fires. This is inaccurate. I have been in Nigeria since December 2024 and am still here presently.”
While dismissing the false reports, Omotola conveyed her unwavering connection to Los Angeles, a city she described as “a home, a community, and a place where countless dreams continue to fly.”
She shared her thoughts and prayers for those affected by the fires, including the first responders who are courageously battling the flames and the families who have suffered loss.
The actress further encouraged her fans to join her in supporting relief efforts and praying for Los Angeles.
“This moment is a reminder of how interconnected we all are, regardless of where we stand in the world,” she stated, calling for unity, resilience, and empathy during this challenging time.
