Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, returns to the club’s training after an injury which has kept him out since December 2024, according to a report.

Ndidi returned to the grass ahead of their trip to Everton on Saturday (today).

Head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has however suggested the game might be too soon for the Nigerian.

“Wilf is making good progress,” the Leicester boss disclosed.

“He’s been partially involved in team training.

“This week, we aim to integrate him back into full team training , to have him ready next week.”

The 28-year-old sustained a thigh injury in their 2-2 draw against Brighton on December 8, 2024, missing nine games across all competitions.

Even while injured, the 28-year-old has been attracting interests in the transfer market.

According to Transfer Feed, Leicester City could lose Ndidi to AS Monaco before the transfer deadline.

The move comes as Leicester faces financial challenges and pressures related to Profit and Sustainability Rules, forcing them to consider offloading key players.

With the club struggling in the league and needing to balance their finances, Ndidi’s potential transfer to Monaco could provide necessary financial relief.

The 28-year-old has four assists in 15 EPL games this season.
