United and Juve Present €20m-Per-Year Offers for Osimhen

English Premier League side Manchester United and Italian Serie A giants Juventus are pushing hard to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window, as both clubs are said to have tabled a € 20m-per-year deal for the player, Saturday PUNCH reports.

According to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Manchester United have offered Osimhen a contract worth £660,000-a-week to join the club this summer.

Both Juventus and United have tabled an offer worth £17.1m per year net, which works out at around £330,000-a-week after tax. That would be £660,000-a-week before tax in the UK, making him their highest-paid player.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new striker ahead of the new season after struggling to score goals, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both failing to have the desired impact at Old Trafford following their big-money moves in recent campaigns.

Osimhen has emerged as one of the top targets for the transfer window, with the Nigerian international expected to leave Napoli, and it has now been revealed that INEOS chiefs have made their offer already.

According to reports from Turkey, Galatasaray are desperate to keep hold of Osimhen following his loan spell this season, but financially, it looks like a difficult deal for them.

“There is a high possibility that Osimhen will say goodbye (to Galatasaray), but there is no decision made at the moment,” Küçük said.

“Juventus and Manchester United clearly want Osimhen. Fenerbahçe tested the waters at the beginning of the season and in the mid-season transfer window, but there is no way.

“Osimhen asked for €15m from Galatasaray. Juventus and Manchester’s offer is a net €20m [£660,000-a-week.”

After joining Galatasaray on loan at the start of the season, Osimhen has had a phenomenal season in Turkey this year with 29 goals and six assists in 33 appearances for the Istanbul club.

The 26-year-old currently receives a net salary of around €10m per season, although some outlets in Italy report the figure to be closer to €11m.

Galatasaray are covering €6m of that amount for the duration of his season-long loan, meaning that Napoli are presumably still picking up the remainder of his contract.
