Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has issued a warning to today’s digital generation about the dangers of chasing viral fame at any cost.
In a candid series of Instagram story posts, the screen legend reflected on how easy it has become to gain quick attention online — often through controversial or sensational acts.
“Just say or do something out of the norm… insult someone important or go nude… so easy, so desperate, so cheap,” Omotola wrote.
She posed a powerful question to her followers, asking what they are willing to sacrifice for fleeting popularity: “Your values? Your morals? Your conscience? Your mind?”
Rather than just criticizing, Omotola challenged young people to pause and reconsider their choices. “Stop! Before becoming slaves to the algorithm. Think again,” she urged.
