Afrobeats superstar and Grammy-nominated artist Davido has opened up about his early days in the music industry, revealing that before fame and fortune, he was once an errand boy for Nigerian music legends Don Jazzy and D’Banj.Nigerian history books
In a now-viral video making the rounds online, Davido reminisced on the years 2007 to 2009 when he lived in Atlanta, Georgia.
He shared how he would freestyle for the duo and even drive his billionaire father’s Rolls-Royce to pick up McDonald’s for them.
“In Atlanta, 2007 or 2008 or 2009… In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj. He sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car — Rolls Royce,” Davido recalled.
