In a plea to the state’s commissioner of police, Bisi Fayemi, the wife of Kayode Fayemi, the previous governor of Ekiti State, accused Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi of cyberstalking and cyberbullying.
Mrs. Fayemi accused the woman of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and criminal, persistent, and unabated social media attacks in a petition dated November 14 and sent to the police commissioner through her attorney, Luke Ekene Mbam of Octodas Attorneys (Topmost Chambers).
Citing the guidelines of the 2015 Cyber Crimes Act, Mrs. Fayemi charged Abimbola with spreading malicious rumors about her without providing any evidence.
She said that she was forced to turn to the police in order to expunge her name and safeguard her reputation.
In numerous posts on her Facebook page, Abimbola accused Bisi Fayemi of protecting “family members” from being detained and charged with suspected sexual offenses.
Additionally, she charged the former first lady of Ekiti with stealing N710 million weeks after her husband took office as governor of Ekiti State in 2018 and laundering N500 million in Dubai.
Abimbola was cited as saying in a post in response to the petition,
“Rest assured that I’m fine. I’m not moved a bit, because I can defend whatever I have written in court.
I wouldn’t be happy if the petition did not go viral according to my plan. Let her use her hands to alert the world.
She was arrested with N500 million Ekiti money in Dubai in 2018. The evidence will be tendered in court, I only await the CTC (Certified True Copies).
Now, she will go to court because it is too late to withdraw, and she will go to jail for money laundering.
