Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen could not travel with the team to Bouake on Monday due to abdominal discomfort.
The Super Eagles are going to play South Africa on Wednesday in the Semi-final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Napoli striker was left behind in Abidjan where medics are battling to ensure that he is fit to travel on Tuesday to meet the other team mates.
However, the rest of the team arrived Bouake around 10pm through Air Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles in a tweet on X said “Members of the team traveled from Abidjan to Bouaké today via a 10pm Air Cote D’Ivoire flight.
Osimhen did not however make the trip as a result of an abdominal discomfort.
“Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him.
If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5pm.”
The Nigerian striker, though has scored one goal since the start of the tournament, he has been a thorn in the flesh of the oppositions.
