Alex Iwobi who has started consecutively in the last three games for Carlo Ancellotti’s Everton justified his inclusion in the starting lineup as he provided the assist for Richarlson to tuck home the first goal in a 0-2 victory at the Foxes home ground.
Iwobi dazzled in the victory against Chelsea, completing four take-ups on more than any Chelsea player in the 1-0 home victory.
Credit to Everton in all that, though. They are moving in their weird patterns again.
After a scorching run of five at the start of the season, and the malaise of seven points from seven games, they have their second straight league win. Better still, they have collected successive clean sheets, which for a time this campaign appeared to be beyond Carlo Ancelotti. Progress all round.
The win places them fourth on the log pipping Leicester with just a point.
Up next for Iwobi and Everton is the home clash against North London strugglers, Arsenal, a re-union for the Nigeria International with Mikel Arteta’s side who sold him to the Toffee.
