In one attack, terrorists on Monday, November 8, abducted the district head of Kwangami village, Mohammad Galadima and six others in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to eyewitnesses, the bandits were heavily armed and caused lots of commotion in the village, with several people injured.
Despite many injured residents, the bandits abducted just the district head, Mohammad Galadima and six others from their houses and were taken to the camo of the abductors.
Terrorist attack has been on the rise in Zamfara State, the state is one of the worst hit by bandits who terrorise and abduct for ransom, adding to growing insecurity in Nigeria.
The six residents of Kazauda village, Gusau LGA, who were abducted a few days ago, have just been released by the bandits following the payment of ₦4 million ransom.
In a separate attack, armed men attacked Zonai community in Gusau local government area and abducted at least 20 people working on their farms.
Some of the abductees managed to escape.
