Former Barcelona player, Marc Crosas, has insisted that the club has betrayed its values by letting Lionel Messi leave Camp Nou.
Crosas, who graduated from La Masia, claimed that Barcelona is closer to Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, and a defunct universally rejected Super League project but farther away from Messi.
DAILY POST reports that Messi paid his farewell tributes to Barcelona on Sunday.
The Argentine international failed to renew his contract with Barcelona due to LaLiga regulation restrictions.
The 34-year-old is now widely expected to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Reacting to the development, Crosas wrote on Twitter, “A Barça closer to Florentino [Perez] and his Super League and further away from Messi, automatically becomes a Barça further away from its own values. Every day less “MÉS THAN A CLUB.”
