Barcelona wallops Real Madrid 4-0 in El-Clasico tie, goes top of La Liga

In a sensational El Clasico showdown, Barcelona dismantled Real Madrid with a 4-0 masterclass at the Bernabeu on Saturday, taking a commanding lead at the top of La Liga.

Despite an early threat from Real Madrid, including an impressive but narrowly missed shot from Vinicius Junior in the 23rd minute and an overturned goal by Kylian Mbappe, Barcelona broke through in the second half.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 54th minute, drilling a powerful shot into the bottom right corner after receiving a long pass from Marc Casado.

Just two minutes later, Lewandowski doubled the lead with a close-range finish following Alejandro Balde’s precise lofted pass.

Real Madrid fought to claw their way back, with Mbappe testing Barcelona goalkeeper Inaki Pena twice—first in the 65th minute with a low drive, then a sharp attempt from close range in the 72nd—but Pena was resolute, keeping his clean sheet intact.

Barcelona’s young star, Lamine Yamal, extended the lead to 3-0 in the 77th minute, rocketing a shot into the roof of the net from inside the box.

Raphinha then completed the rout in the 84th minute, chipping over the keeper with an exquisite finish to seal Barcelona’s stunning victory and send a strong message in this season’s title race.
