A British-Nigerian nursing student and rising TikTok star was found brutally stabbed to death in her Houston apartment—just two weeks before achieving her lifelong dream of graduating.
Tamilore Odunsi, 23, affectionately known as “Tami Dollars” to her 30,000 TikTok fans, was discovered lifeless on her kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds after Texas police forced entry during a welfare check.
According to the Sun, blood on the patio led officers to a horrific crime scene inside the two-bedroom flat where Tami lived with a man she had only recently met.
That man—reportedly a complete stranger until a few weeks ago—was found in a separate room, also with stab wounds, and rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Tami had moved from London to the U.S. in 2022 to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse and had been joyfully counting down to graduation.
Just three days before her death, she posted a hopeful video to TikTok with the caption: “I’m readdyyyyy… BSN grad in 2 weeks. Summer is 14 days away.”
Her senseless killing has left family, friends, and followers devastated. A GoFundMe campaign launched to repatriate her body to the UK and cover funeral costs has raised over £29,000 so far.
Her sister Georgina wrote: “Tami was a beautiful soul—full of light, ambition, and kindness. She was tragically murdered just days before she was set to graduate. An unimaginable loss.”
Her brother Manny added on Instagram: “Our TikTok star. My creative director. My baby sister. Flying to America without her greeting us at the airport is a pain beyond words.”
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Tami’s death marks yet another chilling reminder of the dangers faced by young women living alone or with unfamiliar individuals abroad.
