Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has prayed for rapid and extensive healing for the President of the United States, Donald Trump and his wife, Melanie Trump who tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
The president’s benevolent words were included in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, titled “President Buhari wishes US President, Trump, family quick recovery”.
The Nigerian president also published his statement of solidarity on the microsite, Twitter with the handle @mbuhari
According to the statement, ” President Muhammadu Buhari joins all citizens of the United States of America in prayers for the quick and full recovery of President Donald Trump and his wife, Melanie who reportedly tested positive for Covid-19.
While wishing the American First Family a speedy turnaround in their existing health condition, President Buhari advised Nigerians to follow the relevant protocols regarding COVID-19 and abide by the guidance of medical experts to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, especially epidemiologists.
