Nigerian Afrobeats singer Burna Boy has addressed the criticism following his announcement to hold a free concert in Burkina Faso.

The Grammy-winning artist faced backlash from some critics who mocked the initiative and falsely claimed that the President of Burkina Faso rejected his offer.

In an Instagram Story, Burna Boy defended his motives, emphasizing that his actions are driven by principles rather than personal gain.

“I have nothing to gain from anybody. I don’t owe anyone anything, but that never stopped me from doing the great work I do. My integrity is unquestionable. Therefore, burn in hell if you said anything negative,” he wrote.
