After years of speculation, teasing, and “when the time is right” comments, Cristiano Ronaldo has officially asked Georgina Rodríguez to be his wife and she said yes.
The football superstar’s long-time partner broke the news on Instagram on Monday, proudly flashing a massive diamond ring that could rival the floodlights at the Bernabéu.
“Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” Georgina captioned the post, sealing the announcement with a promise that has been nearly a decade in the making.
Fans have been quick to notice this isn’t the same sparkler she’s been wearing in recent years — this one is bigger, bolder, and unmistakably the ring.
Only last month, Ronaldo hinted at why the couple hadn’t yet tied the knot, telling Netflix cameras: “I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ It could be in a year, six months, or even a month. I’m 1000% sure it’ll happen.”
Well, that “click” finally came and it looks like CR7 just scored one of the most important goals of his life.
