In a fiery move that signals a new era of no-nonsense leadership, President Bola Tinubu has thundered a stern warning to enemies of peace, saying “Enough is enough.”
The Commander-in-Chief has ordered a total overhaul of Nigeria’s security apparatus following a surge of bloodshed in Borno, Benue, Plateau, and Kwara States.Sports equipment
At a high-stakes meeting inside the State House that stretched over two tense hours, Tinubu sat down with Nigeria’s top security brass and minced no words about the horrifying attacks on innocent lives.
“Enough is enough,” the President declared with unmistakable resolve, condemning the brutal and senseless killings that have shocked the nation.

The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, who briefed journalists after the explosive meeting, revealed that the service chiefs laid everything bare—casualties, destruction, and rising instability.
The President, he said, responded with fresh, hard-hitting directives aimed at crushing the wave of terror gripping parts of the country.
“Mr President gave us the chance to come and brief him again. It lasted very long. We gave him an update on what was going on,” Ribadu disclosed.
Even during his recent working visits to Paris and London, Tinubu stayed locked into the security situation, calling the shots from abroad, according to Ribadu.
“Even when he was out there, he was constantly in touch, giving directives and following developments,” he said.
The NSA emphasised that Tinubu was deeply concerned and visibly troubled by the tragic events, especially the repeated attacks on defenceless citizens.
“He said, ‘Enough is enough’. We are working to ensure that we restore peace and security,” Ribadu recounted.
Ribadu also confirmed that the President had earlier dispatched security chiefs to the flashpoints—Plateau, Benue, and Borno States—and received detailed feedback on the missions.
“We gave him information on what has been happening and assured him of our commitment. We had carried out his instructions… We went to those particular three states,” he said.
In a major pivot, Tinubu has also ordered stronger collaboration with local authorities. The days of top-down responses may be numbered.
“The issue of insecurity often is not just at the higher levels. It involves the subunits. We need to work with the communities. We need to work with the local governments, and we need to work with the governors,” Ribadu stressed.
