New Manchester City signing, Jack Grealish, has explained why he joined the club from Aston Villa.
Grealish said he joined Man City because of the chance to win trophies.
The England international joined Man City on a six-year deal earlier this month having spent eight seasons with Aston Villa.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the 25-year-old said the £100million move was something he could not turn down.
“It is one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make, but it was something I couldn’t turn down,” Grealish was quoted by Man City’s Twitter account as saying.
“The chance to win trophies, to play with Kevin De Bruyne and to play for the best manager in the World was a massive factor as well.”
He added, “Getting the 10 shirt was a brilliant feeling.
“It’s big shoes to fill after Sergio [Aguero] had it for so many years. We know how successful he was.
“It shows how much the club value me and I feel I can play in it with full confidence.”
