Victor Moses has vowed to bounce back stronger after he was ruled out for six months as a result of injury.
Moses’ Russian Premier League club, Spartak Moscow announced on Monday that the winger will be out of action for up to six months after he sustained an Achilles tendon injury in the club’s 2-0 away win against Ural last Saturday.
The former Nigerian international was stretchered off the pitch in the 32nd minute of the encounter and left the stadium on crutches.
The 31-year-old is expected to undergo surgery this week. Moses took to social media to thank the club and fans for their support.
“Devastated to have suffered an injury in the game at the weekend. I will be doing all I can to recover and get back fully fit as quickly as possible to help the team thank you so much to everyone at the club and all of the fans for your fantastic support. I’ll be back stronger, “he wrote on his Twitter handle.
The former Chelsea player has scored two goals in four league appearances for Spartak Moscow this season.
