Tems, the Nigerian singer, has postponed the release of her highly anticipated music video for her song ‘Burning’ in light of the ongoing nationwide protests.
She also prayed for the safety of those participating in the protest and hoped their voices would be heard.
“Out of respect for the on going protest at home, I have decided to postpone the release of Burning music video. Praying for the safety of those outside at this time. May the voice of the people be heard,” she wrote
‘Burning’ is a track off Tems’ debut album ‘Born In The Wild’. It was released on May 31.
Tems, born Temilade Openiyi, started to gain popularity in 2020, courtesy of her collaboration with Wizkid on the song ‘Essence’.
In the same year, she released her debut extended play (EP) titled ‘For Broken Ears’.
She has received several awards and recognitions for her talent.
Last year, the songstress won her first-ever Grammy award for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.
