Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Yvonne Okoro has stirred a debate after revealing her preference for Nigerian men over their Ghanaian counterparts.
According to the actress, Nigerian men are not only generous but also excel in expressing love and affection.
Okoro made the comments during a recent appearance on the Ghanaian TV show Showbiz 360 alongside her colleague, Majid Michel. She explained that while financial stability is important, it is not her sole consideration in a partner.
“Nigerian men or Ghanaian men? Nigerian men are better. I didn’t say Nigerian men because of money. That’s not the only thing. Money is there but, love and affection are very important. Because if they give me money and there’s no love, and they’re very disrespectful, I wouldn’t want that,” Okoro said.
The actress emphasized that her ideal man is someone who offers “the whole package,” combining romance, generosity, and respect. “I want the whole package. That’s my kind of man. I want everything,” she added.
Okoro, who was born in Tamale, Ghana, to a Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother, has had a successful career in both Nollywood and Ghollywood.
