Instagram allows Hushpuppi to keep account

Instagram says alleged fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi can continue using his account.

The social media company explained that his arrest doesn’t stop him from accessing their service.

Instagram told The National it had well-established processes with law enforcement.

This include a policy on “inmate takedown requests” for prisoners active on social media.

Instagram said accounts are only usually closed if they represent dangerous organisations or individuals.

Hushpuppi, 37, has 2.5 million followers and last posted on June 6, 2020.

He flaunted chopper and private plane trips, as well as luxury cars including a Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maybach.
