Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has fiercely defended her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, following criticism from controversial media personality, Mange, who recently called out the young influencer over her social media content and alleged wedding sponsorship rumours.
In a fiery response that has since gone viral, Iyabo Ojo expressed her outrage: “I’m appalled by your audacity! Keep my daughter out of your affairs. She’ll post what she likes, when she likes, and how she likes. She doesn’t need you to love her.”
Ojo didn’t stop there. She tackled swirling rumours that a recent elaborate wedding linked to her daughter was financed through questionable means.
Shutting down the speculation, she clarified that the celebration was in line with her family’s cultural traditions.
“Regarding the wedding rumours, it’s not your government that gave us money; it’s a cultural tradition in my family — the wife’s family covers costs. I wanted an elaborate wedding for my daughter in Nigeria, and we, the Nigerians, gave her one.”
Iyabo Ojo’s passionate defence has garnered widespread support online, with fans and fellow celebrities applauding her for standing up for her daughter’s dignity.
She ended her statement by reaffirming Priscilla’s place in the hearts of many: “She is very loved and well-loved.”
Social media continues to buzz with reactions as the mother-daughter duo trend once again — proving that when it comes to family, Iyabo Ojo doesn’t hold back.
