In a swift response to the recent fake news of the death of Globacom Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr, juju music legend, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, has recorded a special song to debunk the rumour and slams those behind it. Obey released the song days after the news of his death went viral on the internet.
The song, which he sang in Yoruba language, curses those behind the fake news and extols Adenuga’s virtues. The song is a testament to Obey’s mastery of the juju music genre and his appreciation of Adenuga’s generosity.
He sang: “Whoever is wishing the Oyo-born business tycoon dead will drop dead before him. Mike Adeniyi Ishola Adenuga is not dead, he’s alive. Full of good deeds, he abhors evil. Don’t wish Adenuga dead, he’s alive. He’s not dead, a friend of the poor, the helper of the needy.
“My Ishola Adenuga, God who has brought you this far, will give you long life, physical strength, and sound health. Ishola, don’t mind those who wish you dead, you will not die.”
This is not the first time Obey has honoured Adenuga in song. In September 2009, he released a special album titled “Mike Adenuga,” celebrating the business tycoon’s contributions to the society.
