JUST IN: Dangote Reduces Petrol Prices Nationwide

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a nationwide reduction in petrol prices, offering relief to motorists amid rising fuel costs.

In a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, the company revealed that petrol will now be sold between N875 and N905 per litre, depending on the region.

The revised pricing applies to all major fuel marketers partnered with the refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.

Under the new pricing structure, residents in Lagos will now pay N875 per litre, down from N890. In the South-West, petrol will sell at N885, while North-West and Central regions will pay N895. Meanwhile, the North-East, South-South, and South-East will see prices set at N905, down from N920.

“Our quality petrol and diesel are refined for enhanced engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the company stated.

According to a statement signed by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the price adjustment is part of Dangote Refinery’s ongoing commitment to economic stability and reducing the burden of high energy costs on Nigerians.

“The move reflects our unwavering commitment to support the Nigerian economy and ease the pressure on consumers,” Chiejina said.
