Kanu International Football Academy (KIFA), has planned to bring change into the football sector with the left-footed footballers scouting programme organized in its over 120 centres around the 36 states and FCT.
This programme is believed to make the absence and scarcity of excellence left-footed players in Nigerian football soon become history
While speaking about the programme, the national coordinator of KIFA, Abdulrasak Usman, said the programme is “aimed at discovering quality left-footed players and countering this dearth that has remained a technical deficiency in Nigerian football.”
Former Barcelona star and Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke who has promoted the programme, defined it as historic and remarkable.
“This is a wonderful initiative and I must commend KIFA for this great programme. It would certainly produce more left-footers and of course, be great for Nigerian football,” Amuneke enthused.
On his part, KIFA’s National Coordinator, Coach Abdulrasak Usman expressed confidence in the programme, which he said would help to develop Nigerian football.
” We are determined to produce more Amunekes, Elahors, Babayaros and Chukwuezes. Left-footed footballers are unique and beautiful to watch.
“At KIFA, we want to continue to make history and change the narratives of grassroots football development,” the renowned football technician added.
