The Honourary President, Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria (MCSN), Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye famously known as King Sunny Ade (KSA), has led members, Board and staff of the Society on a condolence visit to the family of the late Elegant Stallion, Ms Onyeka Onwenu, who passed away last Saturday.
The legendary juju musician was accompanied on the visit by the chairman of MCSN, Orits Williki; its CEO, Mayo Ayilaran; and Kenny ‘Keke Keke’ Ogungbe as well as Tee Mac.
KSA was full of emotions while commiserating with the family. He prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“As a member of MCSN, the Elegant Stallion was fun to be with. Her legacy will live forever,” he said.
On his part, Williki described Onyeka Onwenu as ‘a man’ and called on women, especially the young ones to emulate her because “she always stood for what was right and would not fold her arms on the basis of gender.”
The MCSN boss further described the deceased as a woman of impact, who hated injustice and always stood for the right thing. He added that her legacy would never be forgotten.
