Nigerian comedian, and actor, Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed his frustration with the deplorable state of roads in Lagos.
In a post via X (formerly known as Twitter)— called out Babajide Sanwo-Olu, questioning the governor’s “priorities”.
The actor highlighted what he described as the stark contrast between Sanwo-Olu’s eagerness to welcome the president in Abuja and his apparent neglect of Lagos’ crumbling infrastructure.
The 31-year-old content creator also urged the governor to “do better” and take responsibility for the welfare of Lagosians.
“Hello Mr Governor @jidesanwoolu. One of these days when you are not too busy with the very serious task of going to the Airport in Abuja to welcome Mr President from an International trip, kindly take a drive around Lagos roads and let us know why the government continues to risk the lives of Lagosians,” he tweeted.
“There are potholes on the roads causing accidents that are capable of destroying lives and properties. Do better?”
This is not the first time Macaroni has spoken out against the Lagos government.
The skit maker had rejected Sanwo-Olu’s “walk of peace” initiative in November 2021. This was after the governor invited prominent persons who were the forerunners of the 2020 #EndSARS protests to join him as he led a “walk for peace”.
In 2022, Mr Macaroni also claimed that extrajudicial killings in Lagos worsened under the leadership of Sanwo-Olu.
