Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen could be set to play alongside one of football’s all-time greats if the summer transfer window goes the way Galatasaray want.
While Napoli rejected a €65 million bid from Galatasaray in January, the Turkish giants remain keen on making his loan move permanent.
Galatasaray eyeing De Bruyne amid Osimhen’s uncertain future
Galatasaray are pushing to secure Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne in what would be one of the biggest transfers in Turkish football history.
According to Fanatik, the Super Lig champions have already initiated talks with the Belgian midfielder, who is out of contract this summer.
De Bruyne, 33, is reportedly demanding a €10 million signing bonus, which could pose financial challenges for Galatasaray.
However, his former Belgium teammate Dries Mertens is said to be personally involved in persuading him to move to Istanbul.
Osimhen to choose between Galatasaray and Premier League
The potential arrival of De Bruyne at Galatasaray could influence Osimhen’s future, with the Nigerian striker currently thriving at the club.
Having already scored 17 goals and provided five assists in 22 games, Osimhen has become a fan favorite.
If Galatasaray successfully signs De Bruyne, they may redouble their efforts to convince Osimhen to stay in a star-studded squad.
While Galatasaray are keen to keep him, reports suggest Osimhen has his sights set on a move to England.
English newspaper The Sun reported that Manchester United and Napoli have discussed a potential move for Osimhen as the perfect solution to their stuttering attack.
