A new film produced by Tolulope Oke, Cookie Spot, is set for its premiere. The film seeks to inspire and make people thrive despite the odds of life and will hit the cinemas across the country soonest.
According to Tolulope Oke, the movie teaches hope and inspires the audience that they can make it despite all the odds. “I tried to project life and its possibilities. Cookie Spot is a story of survival; there’s always a means of survival.”
The storyline focuses on women, challenging them to be the best wherever they are. “There’s a need for women to support one another. Young women should see the bigger picture of whatever they are doing; possibilities are endless in life. Whatever you are doing, you should not give up; you can always be a better person wherever you are. Cookie Spot challenges every young lady and women generally to have the strong will to succeed against all the odds,” she said.
Notable Nollywood stars who feature in Cookie Spot are Adejumo Lewis, Funso Adeolu, Sola Sobowale, Ayo Adesanya, Bolanle Ninalowo, Omowunmi Dada among others.
Tolu said,” I believe in hope and I tried to project life and its possibilities.”
Tolulope believes the industry is improving as it has already attracted global attention. However, Tolulope wants tradition and culture to be showcased more positively in Nollywood movies.
“There are some perspectives that should be changed in storylines; the voodoo aspects gives people some wrong impression that anything can happen. In the real sense of it, selling our culture makes us unique but it should be done appropriately. Our culture should be projected positively not only about voodoo,” she said.
