Senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has again called on President Muhammadu Buhari to let go of Nigeria and desist from forcing the people to stay together.
Giwa, in his Independence Day speech made available to DAILY POST on Friday, October 1st, 2021, noted that Nigeria has just a little or nothing to show for 61 years of existence.
According to the cleric, the nation has been unfortunate to have bad leaders who continue to deliberately punish the people.
“It’s a shame to see the most populous nation in Africa still battling with stable electricity at 61. What benefits do you get from being a citizen of Nigeria? Why do they continue to deliberately punish the people?” Giwa queries in a statement he made available to DAILY POST.
“What happens to the natural resources that God has given us? It’s unfortunate that Nigeria keeps producing bad and wicked leaders who have failed to put God first in anything they do.
“They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
“It’s time to let go Nigeria and listen to the voice of God before things finally go out of hand. Tell me how you want to keep the citizens together when you are protecting your own people, but incarcerating people perceived to be fighting for their people?
“You can’t continue to preach unity when your body language empowers terrorists, you can’t continue to hold the people down when you have failed to maintain justice and equity. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. He is just, and cannot be unjust. God defines and sets the standard for justice!
“What can they boast of to have done successfully in the last 61 years? Is it electricity, employment or what? It doesn’t cost a good leader anything to set a good standard for his citizens.”
