Nigeria, China sign media agreements during Tinubu’s Beijing visit

On September 3, during Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s trip to China for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and his state visit, Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG), and Yusuf Tuggar, Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed two cooperation memoranda in Beijing.

The Memorandum of Understanding between China Media Group and Nigeria’s National Television Authority (NTA) and the Memorandum of Understanding between CMG and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

NTA is Nigeria’s official state broadcaster, operating 10 television channels, including general, news, entertainment and international channels, with coverage across the entire country.

FRCN is the national radio broadcaster, with FM stations covering all 36 states of Nigeria and regional stations in six major regional centers.
