Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Church Lagos, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has advised his church members including all residents of Nigeria to get a plan B and plan on how to leave the country.
The pastor gave the advice while giving a sermon on Sunday, May 10, after he spoke extensively on the state of the nation.
He thereafter, called on all leaders not to be partisan at this time, adding that no country in the world history had survived two civil wars.
Speaking further to his church members, the clergyman urged them to have a plan B as his wife is currently out of Nigeria helping to create their own plan B
”I bring you greeetings from Pastor Ifeanyi who is busy taking care of the frontier of our world and preparing our escape root.
“No country in the world history has ever survived two civil wars. You could be in fright and running for your dear life anyday from now if this thing does not come to an end.
“My personal encouragement to leaders and government on all sides is that it is not time to be partisan. It is time to sit down and dialogue.
“I urge you all to have a plan B and start making moves on how to leave this country. I know you have faith, I have faith too but I have a plan B.
“With technology I can speak to you from anywhere in the world.
“Get yourself a plan B. Whether that’s an Okada to Cameroon or flying boat to Seme Border. Do whatever you can to see you leave this country.
“Just get your plan B because these people are crazy. The leaders we have, they are all bunch of jokers,” he said
A National chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Salihu Mustapha also warned against inciting comments which could lead the country into another civil war.
He said this in a statement he personally signed and made available in Abuja.
Mustapha, ex-deputy national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), warned that Nigerians must understand they have no other country, regardless of their political affiliations.
The statement read in part: “We should bear in mind that no nation survives a civil war twice.
“Let’s join hands with the present administration to find a lasting solution to the problems which predate this administration.
“Nigerians who were born after the Civil war, should learn lessons from Rwanda in 1994. War is bad, war is evil.”
Mustapha also noted that only a peaceful Nigeria will make possible the conduct of the 2023 general elections to birth a new government.
