President Bola Tinubu has met with former Nigerian Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan during the inauguration of Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, at Black Star Square in Accra.

In his keynote address, Tinubu lauded Ghana’s democratic achievements and urged critics to cease questioning Africa’s capacity for democratic success.

He commended Mahama for his leadership and dedication to Ghana’s welfare, emphasising personal and professional ties between Nigeria and Ghana.

Pledging Nigeria’s support, Tinubu assured Mahama, “My dear brother, I am here to work with you. You know you can count on Nigeria’s support at any given time you call on me.”

Former Presidents Jonathan and Obasanjo attended the event.

Jonathan served as Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015, following his tenure as acting president during Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s illness.

Obasanjo, a two-time Nigerian leader, first as a military head of state and later as a civilian president, remains a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political landscape.
