Nollywood actress and co-producer Stella Damasus has expressed her immense excitement over her debut full-length feature film, ‘Water Girl’.
The film has been selected to premiere at the prestigious Flathead Lake International Cinemafest, taking place February 14-16 in Polson, Montana.
In an enthusiastic post on social media, Damasus revealed the thrilling news of her debut film’s selection, calling the achievement a “Christmas came early” moment.
Alongside her role as an actor, Damasus also served as a co-producer on the project, which promises to “shake things up” in the industry.
The film, which has already garnered significant attention, has been nominated for five awards at the festival, including Best Director, Best Actress for Moriyah Faith J, Best Original Score for Blessing Agu and Kasiemobi Udemadu, Best Picture, Feature, and Best Montana Film.
Expressing her gratitude, Damasus shared her heartfelt thanks to the talented cast and crew who worked tirelessly on the project.
She acknowledged the collaborative effort, stating, “Without you, this project would not have been possible.”
The cast includes notable actors such as Damasus herself, Moriyah Faith J, Oliver Haeden, Kenneth Okolie, Nick Wilder, Florence Onuma, and Jenna Ciralli.
The crew also received special thanks from Damasus, with shout-outs to Jennings Barmore, Morth Photo, Izzy Scott Intl, Rume Hejoor, Ashley Moore, Cece Cy, Joel Cicero, Martin Samuel Studios, Basics Spence, Avaglass Media, and MixbyBart for their crucial roles in bringing the film to life.
