Super Eagles talisman Victor Osimhen was recently spotted visiting former Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo, following his online rant about Finidi, as per a report.
Osimhen stirred mixed reactions in the Nigerian football community with an online outburst aimed at his former Super Eagles coach, Finidi, following reports alleging that the former Ajax FC star faked an injury.
This led the 25-year-old to vent on his Instagram live, but he was cautioned by Ighalo to end the live session. “Boy, calm down, and end the live,” said the Al Wehda FC forward.
Meanwhile, the 2023 CAF Player Of The Year recently paid a visit to Ighalo as part of his activities during his summer break from football.
Ighalo, a mentor for Osimhen, has been an advocate for him playing for Manchester United, believing he would be a good fit in Erik Ten Hag’s squad.
“I think it’s a good fit. Having Osimhen and Rashford will cause any defender panic,” Ighalo said in a statement.
He added, “If Osimhen asks me for advice on what he should do, I’d advise him to join Manchester United because it’s the biggest club.”
Osimhen’s potential move from the Armando Diego Maradona Stadium has hit a roadblock, with Chelsea pulling out of negotiations due to concerns over his injury records.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Super Eagles Super Eagles attacker may stay at Napoli for another season if there are no better offers for him to consider.
