Dunamis International Gospel Centre with headquarter in Abuja is in the political news lately. The Pastor and Founder of the church, Paul Enenche has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign with immediate effect. The Pastor said President Buhari’s leadership is a disaster.
Enenche, in one of his sermons, lamented widespread insecurity in the country, saying the government has failed the people. He said it is not by force for Buhari to rule and that if he knew he could not protect lives and property, he should resign.
”Is it by force to rule? If you can’t, you resign? Is it by force? Things are going out of control at various levels and people are still sitting there until everybody dies? ”The time has come when they say enough is enough. It is not even time to blame the kidnappers or the bandits, where are the people in authority that can make kidnapping to end under seven days if they want?
“There are kidnapping cells everywhere in the bush. We have modern navigated technology to locate everywhere they are under 24 hours. Everywhere they are can be located by satellite.
“And then the people they kidnap passed through road blocks, and people are sitting and priding themselves, I am chief this and chief that. Useless chief for nothing. If we wait for authority everybody may die in calamity, Jehovah has to arise on behalf of this nation,” Enenche said.
According to him, “The only disaster we have in Nigeria is disastrous leadership. If somebody is watching and blood is flowing, it is either he is a killer or he is a sponsor of killers or he is excited at the killings, that is the scenario of our nation, truth must be told.”
Enenche was in the news recently as he was said to have acquired a private jet. He, however, dismissed the reports that he bought a private jet.
Nigeria News Abroad gathered that some media platforms had claimed that Enenche recently purchased a private jet.
They had shared a photograph of the medical doctor turned pastor boarding a private jet with number N838BB.
But Enenche, in a reaction to the news described the rumours as false, stressing that the jet was chartered for his ministerial duty in 2019.
Enenche clarified the allegation in a statement tagged: “On the purported acquisition of a private jet,” signed by his Secretary, Sylvester Edoh.
The statement reads: “We became aware of certain fake news flying in the air regarding our purported acquisition of a private jet and we would like to make the following points clear
“The possession of a private jet for easy, stress-less and aggressive spread of the gospel is not a luxury but a basic and vital necessity.
“By God’s grace, we do not lack the capacity to acquire or own a private jet for the sake of the gospel.
“However, the news of our acquisition of a private jet that is currently making rounds is absolutely false and totally untrue.
“Having said the above, it is important to note the following for the records.
”The picture of the jet making the rounds is that of an aircraft, N838BB HAWKER 800XP (HS25), belonging to a private aviation company that was chartered in December 2019 for a series of crusades in Benue State.
“We have the capacity to announce by ourselves, whatever we deem news-worthy.”
