Famous American R&B Artist R.Kelly, has claimed his life is in danger in prison, after being rushed to the hospital.
The singer was rushed to the Duke University Hospital on Friday, after collapsing due to an overdose in medications.
His lawyer claimed that the medications threatened his life.
“On 13 June, Kelly was feeling faint and fell to the ground when he tried to get up. He crawled to the door of the cell and lost consciousness. At the hospital, he learned that he had been administered an overdose quantity of his medications that threatened his life,” he said.
The singer was convicted in 2021 over charges of sex trafficking and racketeering and is currently serving a 30-year jail sentence.
R.Kelly was also sentenced to 20 years for child pornography and enticement of minors.
