English comedian and actor, Sean Lock, is dead.
Lock, who died at the age of 58, had been suffering from cancer.
The former 8 Out of 10 Cats star was a regular panelist on TV shows including Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie To You? and QI.
Reacting, Chelsea, in a tweet via their Twitter handle on Wednesday, described Lock as a ‘much-loved comedian’.
The UEFA Champions League winners also sent their condolences to Lock’s family and friends.
“Everyone at Chelsea FC is saddened to learn of the passing of Sean Lock,” Chelsea’s tweet read.
“Sean was a much-loved comedian, fan of the Blues and a regular at Stamford Bridge. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”
One of Lock’s first professional TV appearances was in 1993, starring alongside Rob Newman and David Baddiel on their TV show Newman and Baddiel in Pieces.
