No fewer than 27 students of Bayero University Kano, BUK, have been expelled by the institution for alleged involvement in examinations misconduct.
A statement by the institution’s Director, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records, Hajia Amina Abdullahi, said eight other students were rusticated for the same offence.
According to Abdullahi, “the Senate at its 400th meeting held on January 26, 2023, expelled 27 students and rusticated eight others for allegedly being involved in examination misconducts.
“The Senate’s decision was in accordance with the categories 20, 17 (AI, III, IV, V, VI, VII and XII) of the University’s General Regulations.
“Also, 22 other students were, however, warned by the Senate.”
