The Leganes defender has an academy in Nigeria, which is named “Kenneth Omeruo Academy” and recently, the Leganes FC Youth team has signed two of the academy players (Obi Martins and Samuel Obaleh), with Kenneth Omeruo playing a huge role in the transfers.

In an interview with Sports247, the amazing defender said his major satisfaction and aim for creating his academy is to help lift his players and their families out of poverty, even after his playing days. He further stated that all could not be left for the Government to do alone and that when one player and his family are lifted out of poverty, others could also be affected.

“My Satisfaction would be after my playing days, I want to be on TV seeing my boys play and also being able to lift their families out of poverty because we can’t all depend on the Government to help us and with this, if one family is being helped, it can also affect the others,” he said.

Kenneth Omeruo currently plays for Leganes Fc in the Segunda Division in Spain.
