Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr says the team will miss forward Victor Osimhen as they prepare to face Sierra Leone in the Match-Day 4 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Freetown this evening.
The Napoli striker injured his shoulder on Friday during the 4-4 draw against the Leone Stars in Benin and has since returned to Naples for further check on the injury.
However, the German tactician believes that he has enough in his arsenal to deliver the much needed victory in Freetown.
Speaking to the NFF media team, Rohr said: ‘Osimhen is our only injury worry and unfortunately we will miss him for a long time but other players are ready to come in.
‘We are confident. The fans can believe that the players will fight for all Nigerian supporters and give their best. We miss Osimhen of cause but the players will fight for the honour of the country.’
Nigeria are currently top of Group L with seven points following wins against Benin and Lesotho while drawing against Sierra Leone.
