Popular rapper, Blaqbonez has once again proven his reputation for raw honesty.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the rapper delved into his childhood struggles, his principles on fatherhood, and his unconventional views on relationships and marriage.
Blaqbonez shared the harsh realities of his early life, recounting the challenges of growing up in poverty. “There were like eight of us in one room. When it rained, the house would get flooded, and we had to start stacking clothes on the floor,” he revealed.
He also opened up about being raised without a father. “I didn’t know him. He went to Germany, and there were conversations like, ‘Is this my child?’ My parents were never married, and he left. Blaqbonez shared, reflecting on the impact of his father’s absence.
On fatherhood, the rapper made it clear that he holds himself to a high standard. “I will never enter a woman I don’t see as the mother of my child,” he stated firmly. “I won’t take the risk of Plan B or anything like that. I want to raise a child the right way, in my opinion.”
Blaqbonez also discussed his views on relationships, admitting that monogamy is not for him. “I really genuinely believe that I cannot be monogamous, and that affects the kind of relationships I build,” he said. He went on to describe his vision of marriage, which includes maintaining personal space. “If I am going to get married, I feel like I’ll have my room, and my wife will have hers. I don’t want anyone to cramp my style. I want complete autonomy over my space.”
